The first National Conference, “The Role of Architecture and Urban Planning in Tourism Development of Border Cities,” was held on November 8, 2023, hosted by the Islamic Azad University, Urmia Branch.
Professors, researchers, architecture and urban planning experts, and industry professionals attended. Discussions focused on how architectural design and urban planning influence tourism development in border cities.
Topics covered included the physical and cultural capacities of border cities and their role in promoting tourism growth.
